The real CLF-C02 is 65 questions in 90 minutes, mixed across all four domains, with a scaled pass mark of 700 out of 1000. A full-length practice exam recreates that — the pacing, the domain mix, the stamina of 90 unbroken minutes. These ten questions are a free sample of that format, spanning the whole blueprint, so you can see what it feels like before committing to the full thing.
What “full-length” actually trains
A ten-question quiz tests knowledge. A full-length exam tests something else on top: pacing and judgement under time. At about 83 seconds per question the CLF-C02 is not a race, but 90 unbroken minutes still reveal habits a short quiz hides — second-guessing correct answers, losing focus in the last stretch, spending three minutes on a question that deserved thirty seconds. You only find those by sitting the whole thing.
Remember the format facts that change how you sit it: 15 of the 65 questions are unscored trial items you cannot identify, so answer every one as though it counts; there is no penalty for a wrong answer, so never leave a blank; and multiple-response questions are all-or-nothing, so read how many answers are required.
The service spread
A full-length exam ranges wider than any single topic page, which is why this sample deliberately reaches beyond the core services into the ones that round out the blueprint — platform and container services like Elastic Beanstalk and Fargate, security scanners like Inspector and Macie, and simpler offerings like Lightsail and EFS. If a name here is unfamiliar, that is the sample doing its job: showing you a gap while it is still cheap to close.
How to use the questions below
Answer each one before you reveal the explanation, and when you miss, read past the correct letter to why the other three fail. Treat this as a warm-up for the real thing: the full 65-question timed exams, with a scaled score and domain analytics at the end, are in the course. When you can clear the pass mark on those under exam conditions — and explain your wrong answers — you are ready. The Am I ready? self-check is the honest test of that.
Updated for CLF-C02 (July 2026). The sample questions above are our own work
in the style of the exam — not real exam items. The exam itself is set and marked
by the certification body.
